My office desk is a wreckage of printouts, Kleenex, FedEx slips and coffee cups. It’s been a busy couple of weeks. My personal projects tend to fall by the wayside when work gets crazy. Since writing is mostly responsible for holding my sanity intact, I can become a bit of a mess at times like these. Adding to the chaos is the fact that I have only one week left to sew my garb for Great Western War (yeah, I’m that kind of geek too) and that I agreed to read and critique a friend’s novel. I’ve added him to my list of future readers for my own novel. See how that works?
I’ve been beating my second short story to death. I keep changing my mind about events and it’s not helping to move things along at a reasonable clip. I think I’ve got it figured out now and plan to have the damned thing out of my hair after this weekend. My first short story is sitting in my desk drawer, waiting to be edited (look at me applying the Stephen King method!).
In other news, I’m thinking of switching to a new WordPress theme, but need to figure out which would best showcase my impeccable artistic creations and my content.
…NaNoWriMo is only a month away.
